Optima Probiotic is a probiotic formula with a content of 22 billion per capsule in 13 strains, intestinal absorption that promotes good gastrointestinal health.

Probiotics contribute to the balance of the intestinal flora and the intestinal tract and to the better digestion and absorption of nutrients from food.

Probiotics are contained in gastro-resistant capsules that protect bacteria as they pass through the stomach acids.

Contains: 30 capsules. Folded box containing two blister cards of 15 capsules.

Recommended dosage: Take one capsule with water daily.

What are enteric-soluble tablets or capsules?

The enteric-soluble tablets or capsules do not dissolve in the acidic environment of the stomach, but dissolve at the alkaline pH of the small intestine.

Enteric coatings help protect the components of the supplement from being released into the stomach and keep them away from stomach acids and enzymes.

This allows the supplement to remain intact until it reaches the less acidic small intestine (where most nutrient absorption takes place).

An enteric coating may also be desirable for ingredients which, in some people, cause an unpleasant aftertaste.

The coating, for example, prevents the digestion of fish oil capsules in the stomach, which is known to cause fishy reflux.

Enteric-soluble tablets or capsules help to better absorb the nutrients they contain.
